Atlanta River Cabins A Relaxing Getaway
Why a Cabin Rental?
Are you looking to get away from all the hustle and you want a chance to just sit back and relax? Camping out can be too much roughing it. Being in a motel is a little too confining.
Ahhhh, Atlanta River Cabins - the right blend of the outdoors and comfort too. You sleep in the comfort of a real bed with fresh linens. That night, if it is a little too hot or too cold, you just turn on the furnace or air conditioner.

Each cabin has it's own Flat Screen Smart TV, just in case the weather doesn't cooperate with having an evening campfire. On the grounds is a fire pit to surround and enjoy the nightime air - s'mores anyone?
On clear nights, the unlimited clusters of stars fill the nightime sky. On occasion, you may be treated with a spectacular display of the Northern Lights!
The thought of going out to eat all the time is nice, but really cuts into your day. Now you have a choice! Each cabin has it's own completely equipped kitchenettes with a stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, pots and pans, dishes and tableware and yes, even a coffee maker. ;-) Enjoy your meals at the dining table inside your cabin or on your own picnic table just outside the door.
Mornings, you can get up and fix your own breakfast or go into town. Just a mile and a half away, downtown Atlanta has stores for supplies and a nice selection of restaurants. So for all your meals, the choice is yours - eat in or eat out.
Fishing Boats and Kayaks are available. You can enjoy a day on Thunderbay River. Explore the river just for the fun of it or to find your secret fishing spot, it has some great fishing!
Back at the Atlanta River Cabins, toss your line off of the end of the dock. Engage your friends in a game of horseshoe pitch. Or just sit on the swing to relax and enjoy the activity on Thunderbay River.
Keep your eyes and ears open for the sights and sounds of nature. You may see a bald eagle flying down the river in search of fish, or circling high in the sky above looking for prey.

Deer come out of the woods to explore and feed on the vegetation. The rat-a-tat-tat of woodpeckers at work will certainly catch your attention, and a sharp eye will occasionally even let you see one.
Go to the nearby elk viewing areas to see the massive elk. After all, we are the elk capital of Michigan. As you drive around, keep your eyes open for wildlife. You never know where they will pop up.
Treat yourself to a hike on one of the many nature trails around - and don't forget about the very popular Morel mushrooms that are abundant in the spring.
Other fun things to do nearby are swimming and canoeing, For those who want to practice their swing, there is also golf and family putt-putt golf. Enhance your skills with a rifle or bow and arrow at the rifle range or archery range. Test your skills on a go-cart or at the bowling alley. Learn about the area's history when you visit the nearby museums.
Atlanta River Cabins is a fun, inexpensive way to enjoy your time to unwind and relax. Be it for a week or two, or day or two. Come on up and have a great time!
